China Yangtze River Power Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Yangtze River Power") is a company limited by shares approved by the State Council and established by China Yangtze River Three Gorges Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "China Three Gorges Group").
The company was founded on September 29, 2002. It was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange in November 2003. It issued 2.326 billion shares with a stock code of 600,900.
Yangtze Power is a listed company controlled by China Three Gorges Group and is mainly engaged in hydropower generation business. It now owns all power generation assets of the Three Gorges, Gezhouba, Xiluodu and Xiangjiaba power stations, with an annual designed power generation capacity of 191.85 billion kWh. As of the end of 2017, the company had 82 hydropower installed units with an installed capacity of 45.495 million kilowatts, of which 58 were 700,000 kilowatts and above mega-units, accounting for more than half of the total number of single-unit 700,000 kilowatts and above hydropower units in the world, which is the largest in China.
